Cyclone

An industrial cyclone is a mechanical device used to remove particulates from air, gas, or liquid streams without the use of filters. It operates on the principle of centrifugal force, where the incoming gas stream enters a cylindrical or conical chamber tangentially, creating a spinning motion. Heavier particles are thrown outward toward the cyclone wall due to centrifugal force and then fall into a collection hopper due to gravity, while the cleaned gas exits through the top. Cyclones are widely used in industries such as cement, power plants, metal processing, and woodworking for dust collection and pollution control. They are known for their high efficiency in separating larger particles, low maintenance requirements, and ability to handle high-temperature and high-pressure applications. Cyclones can be used as standalone devices or in combination with other dust collection systems for improved efficiency.
